Workshop

January 21-24, 2009

We hold an annual workshop for individuals who are seeking an in-depth introduction to theory and computer methods for the analysis of hormone pulsatility. Typically attendees are professionals who are using or who intend to use computer methods for the analysis of endocrine hormone time-series data. Most attendess have experience using IBM PC clones.

The course is divided into two parts: lectures in the morning and practical hands-on computer applications in the afternoon. The last day of the workshop is devoted solely to the analysis of attendees' data and has no lectures scheduled. Information regarding the required data formats will be sent to attendees well in advance of the workshop to ensure properly formatted data for the course.

Highlighting the workshop are discussions on non-linear parameter estimation, cluster analysis, deconvolution methods, cross-correlation, approximate entropy, cross-approximate entropy and co-pulsatility.

Please note that enrollment for the workshop is limited to ten. Early registration is encouraged. The non-refundable fee for this course is $300. Checks should be made payable to the "University of Virginia" and sent to:
