University of Virginia's Center for Biomathematical Technology |
| >Home | The University of Virginia's Center for Biomathematical Technology was established in response to the universally growing need for nonstandard interdisciplinary quantitative approaches to complex biological, biomedical, and psychophysiological problems and is dedicated to 1) research; 2) education; and 3) service. As our knowledge of the intricacies of nature increases, the complexity of the methods employed by the life sciences to study these systems must similarly expand. As opposed to traditional statistial data analysis, unique and non-standard biomathematical tools are being created to address specific modeling and quantitative needs. Under the leadership of Michael Linn Johnson, the Program Director, and William S. Evans and Boris P. Kovatchev, the Associate Directors, the Center for Biomathematical Technology is designed to meet these non-trivial data analysis requirements by providing a continuous biomathematical presence amongst biologists, physicians, and mathematicians.
